Javelin's Description

He is our extraordinary 2008 cria, a very white, full Peruvian male, we named ACAU Peruvian Javelin. His genetics are from 3/8ths Accoyo, 1/2 from Alianza macuzani, and 1/8th from Sollocota, with Pachacuti and Presidio genetics! It is hard to contain the excitement we have for this boy. At six months old we had to trim the fleece around his face because it was beginning to grow inward towards his eyes. After getting our hands on him we were very excited to see that he is already showing a very dense, fibered, body too. We see the beautiful crimp, and yes, the famous fawn spot that Caligula passes down too. He has full coverage and is bright white. In addition, he has coverage on his legs, a heavy brow, thick top knot, beautiful teeth, and a wonderful mellow personality.

DAM: Peruvian Pheodora   White, 1074352, Full Peruvian     A full Peruvian, half  from Accoyo and half from Alianza, Peruvian Pheodora. Her Sire is one of the cornerstone herdsires from Northwest Alpacas: 4Peruvian Accoyo Pachacuti (Now Deceased) from the fouth importation from the Accoyo Ranch. Pheodora's dam: PPPeruvian Villager 4714 is from the third importation from Alianza macuzani and scored a 7.5 out of 10 with 10 being the best.    Pheodora has a good type head with perfect bite. She is dense and has outstanding staples in her fleece. She is a proven dam and has had two beautiful cria's from Hemingway's sons.  She is an excellent mother and foundation female. We were very impressed with Pheodora's and the Hemingway's sons genetics in the offspring. We decided to try our Blue Ribbon winner Mountain West Darius (grandson of Caligula) for several of her next breedings.

SIRE: Mountain West Darius   White, 1136265, Full Peruvian   Mountain West Darius is Full Peruvian, 1/4 from Accoyo, 1/4 from Sollocota, and 1/2 from Alianza macuzani. He has excellent conformation with a wide frame structure. This boy has become my favorite, he has a majestic presence about him that I delight in. His now retired sire is Peruvian Presidio and his grandsire, is one of the greatest alpacas of all, Accoyo Caligula. Darius's dam, PPPeruvian Chiclet is from Alianza macuzani ranch. UNIFORMED FLEECE CHARACTERISTICS is our Darius! His fleece weight is distributed all over his body and his crimp is uniformed throughout his body and neck too. This is a stud well worth looking into! Darius’s fleece from his neck to his tail is bright with a SILKY SHEEN and long staple length, he is amazingly dense and gets denser every year. He has hardly any guard hairs in his fleece. Darius is white with a small crimpy fawn spot on his hip. In addition, Darius does have color in his background. His first female cria in 2008 is a outstanding light fawn from two whites. Darius has the best temperament for a young male. He's very easy to handle and you can't help to fall in love with his personality. Darius is calm and confident. 2008 shearing-Shearer, Robert Morrison commented that there were enough for two blankets on this animal. After weighing, Darius had a total of 14 lbs. of fleece. Extra growth on legs were included in this years shearing.
