Quarentine areas are excellent for animals
that are coming to your ranch for breeding, shows, or after you have purchased an animal. Every ranch should have
a quarentine area to prevent the spread of diseases to your herd from traveling alpacas. Quarentine areas should have a seperation
of fencing of at least ten feet apart built all around the area to prevent air born diseases and from alpacas from
touching noses.
Animals are normally quarentined in
America from anywhere from two weeks to a month; most overseas quarentines are much longer.
The alpaca is curious by nature, has dark, soulfull eyes, and a
peaceful presence that lures you into becoming obsessed by them!
